In 2019, Grosvenor joined forces with Croston Home Improvements to form The Croston Grosvenor Group, bringing together two respected brands to enhance their offerings and expand their reach. The Grosvenor Group moved it’s location from Horwich to join Croston in Chorley, where the showroom has been based since.
The union of the 2 specialised companies has brought together over 30 years of combined experience, meaning we are uniquely equipped to deliver stylish, energy-efficient home improvement solutions. Our expertise spans the design and installation of luxury windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries tailored for both commercial and residential spaces to complement modern lifestyle living. HISTORY
Grosvenor Windows was first established 40 years ago as a small family business in Bolton and grew to become one of the North West’s leading home improvement companies.
The business was originally established by Peter Mills in 1975 under the name Aluminium Conversions. Peter, who wore many hats as salesman, manufacturer, and installer, quickly built a reputation for hard work and dedication. This early success necessitated a move to larger premises on Grosvenor Street, Bolton. It was also during this time that the company shifted from aluminium to uPVC products to meet changing market demands and the name Grosvenor Windows was adopted.
By 1986, the business had outgrown its first location prompting the construction of purpose-built facilities on Manchester Road in Bolton. The new site featured an expanded showroom, manufacturing area and storage space to accommodate the growing workforce and increasing production needs.
As the company continued to expand, particularly into the commercial sector, Grosvenor Windows once again outgrew its facilities. In 2002, the company moved to Lodge Bank Estate in Horwich. The new site included a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit and one of the largest indoor showrooms in the North West, allowing the company to stay at the forefront of innovation and customer service.
It was in 2019 that Grosvenor joined forces with Croston Home Improvements to form The Croston Grosvenor Group, where the showroom and office is now based on Bengal Street, Chorley.
Throughout its 40 years of success, Grosvenor Windows has remained committed to its roots: maintaining strong local ties, upholding family values and honouring the principles established by Peter Mills. This dedication to quality products combined with efficient and friendly customer service has been the cornerstone of its ongoing success.
