Who We Are
Grosvenor Windows was first established 40 years ago as a small family business in the Bolton area and has grown to become one of the North West’s leading home improvement companies still owned and operated by the same local family.
The business was started by Peter Mills in 1975, initially as a manufacturer and installer of aluminium windows. Known at this time as Aluminium Conversions and with Peter initially acting as salesman, manufacturer & installer his hard work and commitment grew the business over the next few years requiring a relocation to larger premises in Grosvenor Street, Bolton. This coincided with a switch from aluminium to UPVC products to match the changing market and the new name of Grosvenor Windows was introduced.
In 1986 the continued success of the business led to Peter having new, purpose built premises constructed in Manchester Road, Bolton with improved showroom, manufacturing and storage facilities to accommodate the growing workforce and production requirements necessary to meet the demand brought about by the companies growing reputation.
In 2002, as the company continued to thrive and with further expansion into the commercial market the business outgrew its Manchester Road base and larger purpose built premises were developed at our current location on Lodge Bank Estate in Horwich. This involved the creation of a large manufacturing unit kitted out with the latest state of the art machinery and a separate showroom facility which remains one of the largest indoor showrooms in the North West.
Throughout the 40 years of trading Grosvenor Windows has maintained its commitment to the local area, its family values and the principles instilled by its founder, Peter Mills, in providing a high quality product supported by efficient and friendly customer service.
